After suffering cardiac arrest, Nashville native and boxing great, Johnny Bumphus passed away Friday in a hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He was 59. Bumphus, became the nation's No. 1-ranked 139 pounder for three years back to back. He went on to win a national Golden Gloves and two national AAU crowns, not to mention a member of the U.S. Olympic team. They later boycotted the Moscow Games as well.
