Two Tennessee Residents Test Positive for Coronavirus

After sailing the Diamond Princess cruise ship, two East Tennessee residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. Jeanie Hopland, of Elizabethon, Tennessee was taken to a Tokyo hospital after initially being quarantined aboard the ship with her husband.

In addition, a Chattanooga couple are also back in the U.S. after being quarantined on the cruise line. A Blount County man, was among the 14 American evacuees who were flown from Japan to a quarantine center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Diamond Princess remains at dock in Yokohama, Japan. As of Tuesday morning, 542 people tested positive for the coronavirus.
