Saturday, May 9, Andre Harrell pioneer producer, veteran music executive best known as the founder of Uptown Records has died at age 59. The announcement came late Friday night during DJ D-Nice's DJ set on Instagram Live. Harrell was greatly known for his innovation in R&B and Hip-Hop and getting music mogul, Sean "Puffy" Combs his start in the business as a then, intern. Many artists and celebrities showed an out pour of love, including producer, singer and songwriter BabyFace that created a tribute.
