The Remaining Three Officers in George Floyd’s Death to be Charged

The Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, just announced the three former Minnesota police officers will be charged in the killing of George Floyd. The 46-year-old Black man died after officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck during an arrest. The charges of Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng are aiding and abetting Floyd's murder.

Derek Chauvin has already been arrested and was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Ellison's office is now planning to announce they will be upgrading the third-degree murder charge to second-degree murder charge.
