The year 2020 is definitely filled with technological advances. From the way we go about our day of ordering food and other necessities, we can definitely count on our phones and other mobile devices to get things done. Adding more to this, Uber is about to buy out one of its biggest competitors. Postmates, known for food, and other deliverables is on Uber's radar.
The company will acquire Postmates for $2.65 billion. Earlier this year, Uber tried to merge with Grubhub but the deal fell through. After Uber buys Postmates the new competitor will be DoorDash, which is the most-used food delivery service.
