Metro Council Approves Millions in Rent and Utility Relief

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a lot of people in hard situations. From the unemployment rate increasing to schools closing, 2020 has been unforgettable and we're only half way in. However, relief is on the way. Some financial relief will soon be on the way for some people in Nashville who may have been hit hard because of the coronavirus.

After a meeting Metro Council approved $10 million in CARES Act funding to help Nashvillians with rent, mortgage and utility relief. The proposed $10 million will go to the United Way. The local non-profits will then apply for the funds and the United Way will award it to the individual non -profits.
