Regal Will close Theaters Again on October 8th Amid Movie Delays

It seems like movie theaters around the world were just beginning to open. Unfortunately, Regal theaters announced that it will temporarily close all 536 locations in the US on October 8th due to a "challenging theatrical landscape." This also has to do with ongoing pandemic-related closures in key markets like New York.

The closures will have consequences for workings. The parent company Cineworld said the shutdowns would affect about 40,000 jobs in the U.S. As it stands, studios that have tried to launch movies in spite of the pandemic haven't had much success.
