Biography

Susan Court is a talented vocalist, pianist, and songwriter from Seattle, WA. She started her musical training with piano lessons when she was around seven years old. A couple of years later she wrote her very first tunes, simple little numbers that embarrassed her and impressed her music teacher. Court's training continued all the way through a good part of her life, up until she earned a BA in Music Theory/History from the University of Washington. During those early, and often lean years, Court paid the bills by working at many non-musical jobs. Once she spent time as a cocktail waitress in a Karaoke bar, and although she will be the first to admit she wasn't a very good waitress, she did let her skills entertain the crowd when she took a turn on stage. There was no pay for that part, but it did give her practice and experience. Court has performed in a lot of places over the length of her career, appearing in listening rooms, clubs, and at festivals.
