Have you posted your Facebook "lookback video"? It's a quick clip video of your most liked pictures, most shared and highlights of the past 10 years.
John Berlin had seen these videos posted and, for the past two years, has been trying to log into his son, Jesse's, account after his death. He hasn't had any luck.
Now, after seeing all these videos, John just can't hold out any longer. He made a plea to Mark Zuckerberg.
It's not a shot in the dark. Jesse's video will be made.
Facebook released the following statement:
"With the number of people using our service, it's often very difficult to act on behalf of one. But John's story and emotion moved us to take action — so we did," This experience reinforced to us that there's more Facebook can do to help people celebrate and commemorate the lives of people they have lost. We'll have more to share in the coming weeks and months."
In response to Facebook granting his wish, John Berlin says, "I never expected any of this to happen, all I want is every little piece of him I can get."
