10 years after his retirement, MICHAEL JORDAN still makes $80 million a year.  He still has a ton of endorsements, not to mention investments in various companies.  His corporate partners include Nike, Gatorade, Hanes, Upper Deck, 2K Sports, Five Star Fragrances and Presbyterian Healthcare.  He also owns six restaurants, a North Carolina car dealership, a motorsports team . . . and of course, 80% of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Taylor Swift's ex Conor Kennedy was arrested Wednesday at the White House. He was among 44 activists cuffed for civil disobedience while protesting the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, claiming it will add to the economic crisis and environmental problems. Conor was in good company -- also arrested were Robert F. Kennedy Junior and Darryl Hannah

 

A phone in KATIE COURIC'S apartment that used to belong to her late husband is mysteriously making 911 calls on Tuesday mornings at 2:00 A.M.  Police only hear static, but they have to respond whenever it happens.  They're investigating whether there's something wrong with the phone, or if someone is PRANKING Katie.

 

 PETA filmed an anti-fishing ad featuring JOAQUIN PHOENIX, and they were hoping to run it during the Oscars on February 24th.  But ABC won't air it because it's too "political" and "controversial".  The ad features Joaquin underwater, DROWNING, as he explains in voiceover that fish die the same way when you take them OUT of the water.  - ALRIGHT- it’s official- I hate Joaquin Phoenix!

 

ASHTON KUTCHER surrounds himself with REAL FRIENDS who aren't afraid to tell him when his movies suck.  He says, quote, "They don't depend on me for money or employment.  They're just friends.  Friends tell the truth."  He adds, quote, "You have to surround yourself with brutally honest people who will be like, 'Dude, you suck at this.  Stop.'"

 

The fifth "Die Hard" movie just hit theaters for Valentine's Day.  It has John McClane teaming up with his son in Russia.  It's joined at the box office this weekend by the animated movie "Escape from Planet Earth", the forbidden romance of powerful witches in "Beautiful Creatures", and the latest chick flick from the guy who wrote "The Notebook" called “Safe Hafen”
