It was an earrrrrrrly morning this morning. I showed up earlier than normal and Woody, of course, was in. He says he comes in way before the show so he can start looking through the sales department desks. I have laughed it off until now. Does he REALLY look through desks? I’m going to spy on him.
Sherri Shepherd was in studio today. I waited to let her and Bone in. Nothing but the best accommodations for our guests, really. Pullin’ out all the stops. I say this as I hear our giant garage door squeaking and squealing open.
She flew into Nashville on the red eye after filming her 7 episode arc on How I Met Your Mother. She is in full makeup smelling all good (I should have asked her about her perfume and color lip gloss. DANG IT!) The two will be at Zanies for two shows each night. Check ‘em out. 269-0221 for tickets. HURRY!
We were hoping to set some time aside to have Savannah, our intern interview Sherri on video. She (Savannah) will be an entertainment reporter. You know how you just KNOW when someone will be what they want to be?
Unfortunately, we ran out of time and no video happened. The cute picture did! (L-R: Riley, Woody, Sherri, Jim, Bone)
WE ARE THE CLASS OF...
It’s all about the class reunion weekend, friends! We were talking about what kind of people we were in high school. Some of us are the same and some of us have calmed down a wee bit.
Woody: He was more of a class clown. Their family moved a lot so his way of meeting friends was to be funny. In high school, he was in artsy type classes (speech, theater, etc) and was the guy making announcements over the intercom.
Jim: For the majority of high school, Jim was himself. He was friendly, did intercom announcements (see a pattern, here?) but in 9th grade he ate lunch alone in the library.
Riley: Ooooh, this isn’t good at all. Short story. Riley was angry. One time she had a sprained wrist so she was wearing one of those wrist braces that has the metal down the middle underneath her hand. The girl Riley was talking to had been warned not to mess with her. Well, the girl didn’t listen. Riley got all fired up and completely punched this girl. Hard. With her metal hand. About 7 years later, Riley was working with this girl at Hooters and the girl finally had enough courage to tell Riley that she was afraid to go to science class every day after that. Soooooo, I’d say Riley has changed a bit.
Tawsha: The only thing that has really changed with me is that I’m less naïve. I let the world pass me by and thought everyone was innocent and had good intentions. I’ve been through a wee bit since then. I still have a positive outlook and want about a billion people around me all at once but I’m certain not everyone has good intentions.
Intern Savannah: She, too, ate lunch in the library. Well, sort of. She was/is a very goal oriented person and her high school “friends” didn’t “get” her so she spent lunchtime in the library reading. I’d say she was eating but food wasn’t allowed. She snuck Cheeze-Its in her purse.
The hotness stopped by this morning. Ashlee Foxx was getting some work done and stopped by with a shirt I just may steal off of her when she’s not looking. Ashlee is one of those people who brightens a room. She’s always so kind and will do anything for you.
I finally got this picture yesterday. I asked Woody about the front door re-do on his house. He sent the pic to me so I could see it. He says that his house is a mess. I see this picture and call BS. I’m only looking at the reflection where I see a brick/stone path, nice houses around him. Yeah, I’m saying he lives in a nice neighborhood where people stare when “outsiders” drive through. Seriously…just take a look.
I was sitting in the back office with Jim for a long time yesterday. We were just chatting with anyone who walked into the door. At first we had a fierce rock, paper, scissors competition with Dolewite from 101.1 the Beat. Then, our friend Jamese came in and tried to prove that she knows how to make white people uncomfortable. All-in-all, it was an extremely productive late-morning. As you can see.
The show ended with crap. Fox 17’s Kelly Sutton is leaving. This decision was out of her hands. We’re so sad. Ashlee, Woody and Jim watched her goodbye this morning in studio. They are all crammed around the smallest TV ever. Watch the goodbye HERE.
Lady Gaga will be on the show Tuesday. Until then, have a great Class Reunion weekend!!
