Angus Jones, who after a religious conversion, told people not to watch Two and a Half Men because it was filth, issued this statement.
"I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.” The 19-year-old actor went on to praise the cast and crew, CBS and WB, saying they’ve become an “extension of my family.” In a video interview that went viral Monday, Angus calledTwo-and-a-Half Men “filth”, urged people not to watch the show, and suggested that he couldn’t work on the show as a matter of religious conscience. Fortunately, Angus wasn’t scheduled to shoot the next two episodes of the show, and wasn’t expected back on set until next year, giving WB and CBS the holidays to figure out what to do with their pious young star.
It looks like this is an apology to his bosses and coworkers ONLY. He does not:
- apologize for calling the show filth
- back off from his statment for viewers to not watch the show
