Former Tennessee Titans cheerleader Elizabeth Leigh Gardner told Newschannel 5 she is innocent of the charges brought against her.

She was indicted on charges stemming from an incident at a friend's home.  She's accused of following a 12 yr old boy into the bathroom, fondling him, and trying to seduce him.

In the police report, the sex crimes detective says she told the officer "that she was drunk that evening and that she got the boy confused with a man that was also at the residence."

Garner is one of the more famous cheerleaders in their history because of her age.  In 2008, she was a 38 yr old cheerleader among a squad of mostly 20 somethings.

She has had no connection to the team for several years now. 

A member of the Murfreesboro police department said, "That's just absolutely no excuse for sexual assaulting a child. If you can't tell the difference between a 12-year-old and an adult then there are problems".

Our take: Terrible story if true. If not true, she's had her reputation ruined. Bad all the way around.
