We're trying something new and would love to hear from you about whether or not this is something you want to read on a daily basis.
What happens when the microphones are off during the morning show? We have opinions that we may not have time to talk about, can't say on air or just need a little more time to think about.
Hi, I'm Tawsha...the producer of the morning show. I'm stalking each and every member of the show, asking them about their nights, making observations and basically gossiping about them to their face. There are plenty of things I see or hear that aren't talked about. Plus, I'd love to take your questions about Woody, Jim, Riley or anyone else who comes on air.
Woody came in this morning like normal and was feeling all weird. He would just glaze over while talking. I was like, "Hello!! You there?" He went home. I always ask someone if they have to go to the bathroom when they tell me they aren't feeling better. He didn't answer. I'm thinking he wanted to say "yes".
Typically, Woody does what's called "running the board". That means he's in control of all the buttons, music, etc. With him out sick, Jim takes control of the ship. There are so many lights. Okay, he didn't say that but that's what I see every time I'm standing in that area of the studio. It's like a freaking airplane.
Jim already saw some action before he came into work. No, it's not like that. Get your head out of the gutter. Jim got robbed-ish. He put a wagon at the end of his driveway. He didn't put a "FREE" sign on it, but it was. Just not labeled. This morning, on his way through the hallway, he noticed a car out front of this house. Back 'er up. Jim wakes up before the sun is even thinking about rising. That's how early this person decided to show up. A lady got out of her car all stealth and took the wagon. She was totally scoping it out the night before, we just know it.
That didn't ruin his mood after his guy's night out this weekend. Ladies, we need a night out with our girlfriends but guys need their time, too. Or so Jim says. Just in case you want to stalk Jim, this is where he was (sounds like he wants to go back, too).
Did you know that Jim is a hockey player? Like, year round hockey in a league. How Mike Fisher of him, right? After the game (they won with one goal thanks to Jim) the guys got drinks and burgers instead of juice boxes and orange slices. It's the adult version of after-game celebrating.
R!ley came in this morning exhausted but in great spirits. She had an awesome weekend zip lining with a friend. She posted the story HERE. She's hard core. Check out her shoulder:
Um, OUCH! She says that we all should go. You'd think a bruise would keep us away. Nope. To look all GI Jane like, her...duh! We'll totally go. The idea of ziplining and going through the ropes course is so much bigger than going through the motions. It's an emotional and challenging experience. It sounds incredible!
In studio, however, Riley isn't so hard core when it comes to temps. She weighs about 12 ounces (yes, that's my envy shining through) so she's always cold. It's a pleasantly air conditioned studio but Riley seems to feel that a parka and heating pad is appropriate. She totally cracks me up. I just see her trying to run down the hall with hot coffee and a hood on trying to get in studio before the microphones are turned on.I wouldn't be surprised if I walked in one morning to find her wearing two Snuggies. Yes, two. It made the story better.
Now the show is over and conversation is about all we talked about today:
Do you have an eye for design or an obsession with Pinterest? I haven't had anything approved yet, nor have I talked to the bosses about this (day 1 didn't seem like the best time), so I'm passive aggressively throwing it out to you.
How would you change/update the look of the studio?
There you have it...a little behind the scenes of the morning show. Each day, things will change and new stories will be told. We'll even answer your questions. Comment with anything and everything.
