This video is going viral. 2.8 million views since Friday morning. A top spot on Reddit. And it happened in Murfreesboro.
DUI checkpoint in the Boro on the 4th of July. Chris Kalbaugh is pulled over and confronted by Rutherford County Sheriff's deputy AJ Ross according to a Libertarian website. The driver of the car had his camera rolling while this incident went down.
The driver stayed respectful. One of the troopers even states on the video that this driver knows his constitutional rights.
He doesn't have an axe to grind with police. He's Libertarian who had the camera olling in case something like this happened. He told the Tennessean:
“This video was not made to be disrespectful to law enforcement at all; there are plenty of great cops in Tennessee that do not believe in going outside of the law to take away constitutional freedom,” he said. “Contrary to what many people think, having rights is not disrespectful.”
The Rutherford County Sheriff's office said they are looking into it.
Watch and and tell us what you think. Were his rights violated for no good reason? Or was the kid asking for it by doing the minimum allowed by law? Or do you have a different take altogether? Does this incident scare you?
